The Stem Cell Hotel is a collaborative phenotyping space configured to support and enable scientists from King's College London, other universities and industry.
The Stem Cell Hotel is staffed by a team of stem cell scientists and is equipped with the latest cell imaging devices from major manufacturers. It is a centre of expertise for cell characterisation using high content analysis and artificial environments. Our data integration capability and expertise apply to both 'data-driven' and 'hypothesis-driven' research projects.
The group offers the use of its state-of-the-art imaging equipment to trained internal and external users. We are available for training and advice and to discuss the possibility of collaborating on specific projects of mutual interest. The instruments offered by the 'Stem Cell Hotel' include high-content imaging and analysis devices (PerkinElmer Operetta CLS and PerkinElmer Operetta Mark1), live imaging devices (Essen Biosciences Incucyte Zoom, Nanoentek JuliStage) and quantitative phase microscopy devices (Phasefocus Livecyte). More information about the different instruments available can be found in the 'Schedule equipment' tab.
For further information, please email Dr Mark Basche, director of the Stem Cell Hotel. He is happy to discuss collaborative projects, users' needs for setups and assays, and assistance with further multiparametric analyses.
Please note that usage of Stem Cell Hotel Instruments will incur a fee, refer to pricing guidelines for each device and provide billing information when requesting a reservation.
Scheduling time on the equipment calendars is restricted to trained users only. If you are not a trained user, please submit a training request form, indicating the equipment for which you would like to be trained and your availability.
Please click on the description link to see details and specifications of every instrument before you make a reservation, including availability. For details on the pricing, please click the pricing link instead.
